Guys your latest update complete broke the app. my camera doesn’t load anymore

This app is horrible. Playback never works. No support. How can I see my playback???

If I could rate these cameras any less than one star, I would gladly do it. These cameras are extremely unstable, very difficult to set up and quite limited in customer support.

As I have just read in another review, you CANNOT arrange the camera boxes in the order you want. That should have been the 1st thing the developers thought of and incorporated. Hey developer! Update this atrocity, please.

What horrible app, we tried it for our business but is just a waste of money and time , we went with a local company and is amazing . I would not be recommending this company to any of my business associates. I would recommend fixing the problem before loosing more business.

After completing the latest IOS update on my phone and iPad the app will not connect to cameras any longer.

This is so much more secure than the mega-vulnerable chinese systems commonly used (Swann, rebranded Dahua, etc). Axis M3044 domes with on board SD card storage, plus this app, is a super stable home / small business surveillance system. Many reviews complain about lack of features, but geez this is a FREE APP! If you want features you have to pay.

As far as I can tell there is no way to manually add cameras. You need to be on the same network via WiFi. First off, for a business that’s not a good practice. Secondly, for my situation, my cameras are only accessible via VPN for configuring and WAN for viewing. Making the entire app pointless. Please allow the ability to manually add your cameras.

This app is mostly a fantastic addition to the companion family. I do wish I could order my cameras differently in the multi view though. It seems like a basic option and I’m surprised it does not allow for it. This is mostly something I would like to have when using it on my Apple TV. I do wish there were a few more options when on the Apple TV. It would be nice to click on one of the multi view cameras and enlarge it. Overall a good app, just missing a few touches in my opinion

I’m using this app for a AXIS Q6128-E PTZ and I’m using IPhone XS. We need full screen for the iPhone XS. And also more features.

A feature missing is the ability to configure motion areas as we can on the PC. That would make this app outstanding.

Something changed recently and I can no longer connect to my cameras from my iPhone unless I’m on my wireless network.

After several years of fine remote viewing of my Axis camera with this app, it suddenly stopped working. I now am told that Axis has changed its remote viewing system to Axis Secure Remote Viewing and seems to have made this app unusable.

I don’t know what happened but in a recent update the ability to go back and time and view a specific day and time was nuked. Now when I choose a specific day or time it loads for a few minutes and then just says “Nope” and goes to live stream. Works fine from desktop.

What's going Axis with latest update?

Not sure why the app would not have a fast forward or rewind, these seem to be very crucial features to be able to playback video.

Why do I need axis account to access my cameras? Will not even try to create that.

I just had an Axis PTZ and two fixed cameras installed on my house. Immediately, I can recommend at least two improvements for future updates. First, the ability to use the app on an Apple MacBook Pro. Secondly, make it Airplay compatible please! Third, add the “shake dry” feature to the app.

This app would get 5 stars if it was on Apple TV.. but for now you get 3...

I record both continuous and motion. Would be great to allow quick skips to start of next motion record.

Thank you for the option to turn on/off the lights on some of your cameras. Hope that there will be a sound button to play the loaded audio clips as well coming soon. A reboot option would be great along with compatibility with Apple Watch. The updates get better and better. Thank you!

How is it that your app drains battery so fast. Other apps have gotten around this. I can't leave this app in the background for more than a short while.

The latest two updates make camera viewing impossible. Please fix the glitch. It works on Android devices but not on iOS.

Lacks playback button in app for reviewing recorded video. Please consider fixing.

This app is getting better with each release. Thank you Axis! Streaming reliability is better but could stand a little more improvement. Feature requests: the ability to swipe through camera live views rather than having to close out back to the grid to select another camera The ability to reboot a camera from the app. I have a troublesome camera and need to reboot it periodically.

This app is getting better and better after the years. Axis is duing a good job with this app.

Need to be able to search by time/date in the app without having to manually scroll back days in the timeline. We can do this on the desktop software, why not on the app? EDITED to 5 stars! Axis took my feedback and applied this to the app! Greatly appreciated!

Export video quality is great however what good is export of video with out a time date stamp in court. Slower lower quality on windows PC platform but at least it has the time date stamp attached to the file

Slow to pickup feeds, drops off more than online , stream is patchy at best. I have this system installed at three locations for over two years and while it work OK on site streaming is a zero out of eleven. Buy the system but do not expect to be a streaming genie .

I've been involved in the security and automation industry for almost 10 years which isn't quite as long as compared to some. I've developed, planned, installed, and been the end user of many different high end systems. Many of which require per camera licenses. After a while of paying upgrade fees and yearly license fees I've been getting tired of dealing with this for my residential system. With this industry I am constantly adding, removing, and changing cameras and devices found on my property. So I figured I'd give the camera companion a try. I knew it would be a MAJOR change from going to a high end third party recording system to local storage. Unfortunately I also knew I was going to be losing some features on the mobile app. Not being able to control my PTZ cameras was one of them. I think that should be a GIVEN in any modern recording software. You can control it on the PC software but not on my mobile device. This mobile app also doesn't have the ability to view multiple cameras at once. You can view multiple still images at once but not live footage. That's my two largest complaints at the moment. If this were to be fixed I think it would be a great platform along with some other things that need to be addressed. Yes I know it's suppose to be an entry level system but there are some features that should just be a given especially with a high end manufacturer. For now it's back to the third party system but if Axis were to get their stuff together I would love to try it again in the future!

Installed it. Detected my cameras. Not one is compatible. Told me to use the computer version only available on windows.

Using the correct login information this app does not load anymore

More than half the time it can't connect

I went through all the bother of setting up an account (and it was much bother as account set up kept failing; I suspect password restricitons but no info available on that. Took two tries and two email accounts). What did I find? Absolutely nothing about how to set up camera in the app. Just advertiseements. App Store directs you to an Axis website. Another mess of confusing information mostly ads for services. As far as I can tell you have to use a PC program to do set up. Deleting. Want my time back.

Sharing a video recording doesn't seems to work with the iPad version. It works on iPhone 6. All devices running iOS 10.0.2 at the moment

Installs and set up is easy but very disappointed this app is so weak and lacks many typical features other security camera apps use. For example, can't even activate the cameras LED lamp. They make excellent camera so surprised didn't make more of an effort to release or improve this app. Don't bother with it!!

1) The Report a Problem link in iTunes doesn't work - leads to a page that doesn't exist anymore. 2) Logging in to an account setup with a PC, I don't see any of the sites I set up on the PC. 3) Attempting to create another site in the app, I can discover the camers but they're both greyed out.

Make it possible so I can add cameras manually and I'll give you a higher rating. I can't add my camera because it's behind a firewall using port forwarding and your limited software won't let me add it.

Remote connection stops working even though I can see video remotely though a web browser. When it does work there are long delays before video is visible. Quality is good though.

I wish it was more feature filled including: - Ability to turn LEDs on - Ability to talk through camera speaker - Multi-view should be live and give various view options - Speed to bring bring up videos is much slower than third party apps. Basically I use this only to access stored recordings. I use Owlr for live view as it can turn my LEDs on and it is extremely quick to get live video going. I hope Axis can complete the feature set so I can use just one app.

This is by far one of the most useless and unreliable apps I have ever downloaded from the App Store. The features are limited, designed for viewing only with no remote control capabilities of my cameras. Five times out of 10 my site will fail to load and I can not get access to my cameras. It's also common for me to be able to load one camera but not the other. I never have the confidence I should have that the app is going to function correctly 100% of the time when I am away and need to monitor my home. Overall I am on the fence about the products from this company. The build quality of the cameras are mostly good, but not enough attention is paid to the software which side of things which is taking on an increasingly larger role... And did I mention their support?

Much improved. It loads much faster and is way less buggy. The app is usable now.

All of my passwords and login to myAxis was deleted when I updated the app. I don’t see why these couldn’t be preserved.

What's the point of having cameras with audio and an app that doesn't support audio?

No ptz control. No presets. But the cameras are viewable and sites easily managed. Haven't tried audio...

Can't access camera from app unless onsite.

The first thing this app tells you is to setup cameras using the Axis Client for Windows. This is an app for iPhone. Why would I have access to a Windows machine? To make this app useful, it should let you setup cameras. How hard could that be to add?
